Below are things that will help you as a new student or a new employee get acclimated with the JWCC computer systems. If you have any questions, please contact us.

  1. First time SOLAR users: login to SOLAR using your username and initial PIN that you received in your Welcome Letter
  2. Login to Email or Canvas using the information that you received in your Welcome Letter
  3. Change your password
  4. Install Office 365
  5. Review Print Policy / Information about printing
  6. Review the Computer Use Policy

There are also a number of training videos and written guides for employees that can be found on John Wood’s employee-only intranet, including topics such as:

  • JWCC’s phone system
  • Accessing your work computer from home using the VPN
  • Banner
  • Advanced email tutorials
  • Editing pages on the JWCC website
